The different regions of Ilomar City

This roleplay takes place in the capital of Ilomar called Ilomar City. Ilomar City is a huge, modern city with many different regions (ala New York). These regions will be described in this post.


This is the city center - downtown Ilomar. This is the most modern part of the city, filled with malls, skyscrapers, busy streets and lots of tourists places. Everyone's always busy and you can always find an open store, no matter the time of day. People who live here live in apartments, where most people live together in groups to afford it, if they don't have a high-paying job. People love living here though, because there's always something to do and everything is within walking-distance of each other.


Ilomar University is the largest university in the whole country and therefor the campus is large as well. It's not unusual for a university student to live at campus and many students move to Ilomar City to study here. The campus is more classical and old-fashioned in looks than modern in looks, because the city is an old university city. But the buildings are renovated and there are a lot of modern facilities at the campus as well.


Haling Dove is the royal region and the political center. Only the richest of the rich lives in this area in huge mansions (and most of those people are politicians). This is also the region where the Godia Castle is. In that castle the Royal family lives. The living and training area for the Godia Warriors exists not far from the castle, since the Godia Warriors sometimes work as guards for the royals.


The Cirrane region is mostly populated by middle-class to upper middle-class. If there are appartments, these are made by big houses being split into several homes. Most homes are houses and villas. This is also the religious center of the city, where the Enferi Priests have their monastery and where the cathedral is.


This is the residential area for the middle class. It's a very family friendly neighborhood with lots of green areas and places for activities. It's a very calm area and a great place to settle down.


Leeside Region is the industrial area of town. Here lies all the factories, also the factories that mass-produce Zeals. Some people live here but it's of the lower, working class. They can actually live in houses because it's so cheap to live here, but it's not a very pretty part of town and the air isn't that great either.


Erast is the poorest region of the town - the slums. It's the part of the city with most criminal cases and over-all poorest population. Most people live there live in small apartments or old buildings they've turned into homes - or they live on the street. This is not a place most people would be proud to say that they're from.
